Reach-Out

Our organization is zealous in supporting efforts in serving our communities and fellow nurses.  We have partnered with different community agencies in providing services that benefit our communities. We are participating in health fairs, soup kitchens, and community health education programs.
At the national level, we are supporting programs through the PNAA and the Philippine Nurses Association of America Foundation (the philanthropic arm of the PNAA) such as the Gawad Kalinga, continuing education activities, research activities, medical missions, scholarship, The Leadership Training Institute, and Balik Turo missions in the Philippines.  We believe that our service extends beyond the bedside. We are accorded this opportunity- pay it forward.

Empower

As the largest group of minority nurses in the U.S., it is important that we have a voice in different national and international professional organizations, government agencies, and community organizations in discussions that will impact our job and practice. • International Nursing Conferences (1996)

  • NCEMNA Participation (1998) – National Coalition of Ethnic Minority Nurses Association

  • NCLEX-RN Philippine Test Site (2007)

  • CGFNS Ethical Recruitment Guideline (2010) – Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools

  • Policy discussion to stop exploitation of recruitment agencies

  • Human Rights Procedural Guideline

Also, we support the empowerment of our members through scholarly activities, recognition program, professional and leadership development.
